Burnet, TX – Authorities confirmed that two teenagers were killed when the car they were riding slammed into a school bus where children were onboard. The accident happened Thursday afternoon.
According to reports, the accident happened near State Highway 29 between Burnet and Bertram. The fatal collision caused the deaths of the two passengers of the car, a 16-year old girl and her 14 year old brother.
Out of the 13 students who were riding the school bus, only 1 was injured. The child was immediately brought to the hospital for minor injuries.
A witness to the accident said that he saw the car running at a speed of 60 mph when it hit school bus. The two victims were both attending school at Burnet High School.
