The Dallas North Tollway was closed from 9:45 am until evening – following a Texas Truck Accident, involving an 18 wheeler truck carrying 30,000 lbs of load and two vehicles.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred as the truck was traversing the road to the north, when it hit an SUV, went through the concrete barrier and fell over, landing on another car.
Authorities have stated that the driver of the truck was driving too fast, which is the primary cause of the accident and the injuries sustained by the victims.
Greg Meece, the driver of the car which the truck landed on, was taken to the Parkland Hospital. He is said to be in serious condition. The driver of the SUV was likewise brought to the hospital. However, his condition is still unknown.
On the other hand, the driver of the truck was uninjured – but he will be charged by authorities with “failure to control speed.”
