Marcus Bacon, a former Missouri line backer, who was also a recipient of several honours on his 2006 season with the Tigers, died in a car accident on Friday night, in Houston, Texas.
According to reports, the Nissan Maxima driven by Bacon, as it was traversing near the West 610 Loop, lost control, went over the curb and to the train tracks – wherein it was said to have flipped for several times, thereby causing the death of the driver.
Police said that Bacon was pronounced dead on the scene. They also reported that there were no passengers during the time of the accident, and there were no indications that Bacon was intoxicated when it happened. However, there are witnesses who claim that the vehicle was moving at a speed of 90 mph during the fateful night.
